Napoleon Hill was a well-known self-help author in the early 20th century, whose books conveyed a sense of urgency to take action. He understood that change can be scary, and because of this, many people hesitate before pursuing the things they truly want. It’s easy to tell ourselves the timing or circumstances aren’t perfect, and use that as an excuse to put things off until later.
But Hill reminds us that the timing will never be "just right," and now is as good a time as any to get to work.

CONTACT YOUR SENATORS
Amy Klobuchar: (202) 224-3244 klobuchar.senate.gov
Tina Smith (202) 224-5641 smith.senate.gov
Hi, I’m a constituent calling from [zip]. My name is ______. First, I’m deeply concerned that Jared Kushner is serving as an envoy in the Middle East while also soliciting billions of dollars from Gulf monarchies for his private business ventures. It is a staggering conflict of interest. I understand that Rep. Jamie Raskin has opened a probe in the House into Kushner’s possible corruption. I’d like the Senate to do one as well.
Second, I know the Senate is negotiating a FISA re-authorization bill right now and I want to be very clear: I oppose a “clean” re-authorization. FISA Section 702 must be reformed to close the data broker loophole and stop the warrantless searches. Without those changes the Senator must vote no. Thanks.

Hi, I’m a constituent calling from [zip]. My name is _______.
First, I want the Congressmember to co-sponsor H.R.8275, Rep. Raskin’s bill to establish the Commission on Presidential Capacity to Discharge the Powers and Duties of the Office. Donald Trump is dangerously unfit to hold office. Congress must find out if this is the case, and if so act. Thanks.
Second, energy bills are out of control and Trump’s war is making them worse. I’m glad more than 100 members of Congress have introduced a bill called the Energy Bills Relief Act, which would deliver sustainable and cost-effective solutions to boost clean energy, meet rising demand, invest in solutions, and lower energy costs. I expect the Congressmember to co-sponsor it.

Click here to send email:Keep telling Congress: Trump's war has to end.
Despite his erratic announcements of victory/ceasefires/imminent war crimes, Trump's war on Iran grinds on, at the expense of thousands of lives across the region, the wholesale disruption of the world economy, and soaring costs for Americans. We must meet Trump's incompetence and inconsistency with a steady determination of our own to neither give up nor give in. Tell your Members of Congress: Either they do all they can to end the war that Trump and Israel launched, or the blood is on their hands, too.

This training is designed for activists who want to use social media more strategically to spread progressive messages, counter misinformation, and reach people beyond our usual circles. First, we'll have a brief presentation and discussion breaking down how social media algorithms work, what makes posts more likely to travel, and how everyday engagement—liking, commenting, and sharing—can help amplify our content!
For the second part of the training, we'll do a guided activity where we'll learn how to get connected with various local Central Minensota progressive/left-leaning social media accounts to help create content, share ideas, or support online organizing efforts.
Registration is capped at the first 50 people, so be sure to sign up early!

-
Sherburne County Government Center
13880 Business Ctr Dr NW, Elk River, MN 55330
The Wright County jail is making space to hold 120 folks who have been incarcerated at the Sherburne County Jail. Because Sherburne is boarding detainees for ICE, they need more room. So, they are sending their non-ICE related arrests to WC because they make more money off of ICE detainees. Botton line: Wright County is making money off of ICE detainees as well because we are boarding for Sherburne County.

I94 Billboard Update - 164,000 vehicles a day!
We rent the billboard jointly with Indivisible North Metro and Indivisible Twin Cities.
We've been using it to hold Tom Emmer accountable — rotating messages to match whatever atrocity the week brings — and to promote events like No Kings rallies. Some of our recent messages are shown below.
Here's the challenge: We need to raise money to keep it running through the midterms. And the cost just jumped from $1,200 to $2,000 for four weeks, now that we're in "election season."
Can you help? Every dollar keeps those eyes informed.
-
Mail a check to: WCI, PO Box 1410, Monticello, MN 55362, put billboard in the memo

What’s Next - May 1
Plan your participation in a day of economic disruption on May Day: No work. No school. No shopping.
We’re flexing our economic power on May 1, sending a message to Trump and his oligarch enablers: We refuse to do business as usual as you trample our rights, terrorize our communities, and conduct your war. Led by May Day Strong, this will be a day of mass refusal to engage with the American economic engine, featuring rallies, marches, and non-violent disruptions across the country (find an event near you here). Not everyone will be able to refuse work, school, or spending entirely, but it's vital that each of us does whatever we can do to show the regime that we don't just have numbers--we have economic leverage.
SHOP LOCAL AND SMALL BUSINESSES ONLY! NO SHOPPING AT LARGE CORPORATE BUSINESSES!
